FDA approves Insys Subsys fentanyl sublingual spray

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Insys Therapeutics' Subsys fentanyl single-dose sublingual spray.

Subsys fentanyl sublingually formulation is administered in a delivery device which provides benefits to patients experiencing episodes of cancer pain.

Insys president and CEO Michael Babich said they intend to continue to grow their commercial organization and introduce this product under the recently approved TIRF REMS Access Program when it is launched later this quarter.
